My son and I thought our meals were great. They were both fresh and hot. Sorry to hear that you did not have the same experience.
I'm not sure . I have never seen it listed on the menu as "gluten free". You could call Plum Blossom and ask.
Why?
Yes Tara it is 3pm 😆
They were only closed one day last week. They are open this week as well.
We had a wonderful dinner here. The food was excellent. It seemes they were a little light on wait staff. Waitress was very busy but accommodating. Authentic Chinese cuisine!
Stopped in here on our way home from Albany. On the outside it does not look like much but when you go in it is just beautiful. Gorgeous wooden carvings. Atmosphere is wonderful. And of course the food was so good also. When you sit down they give you pickled cabbage (so yummy). But be caerful...I thought I was eating red cabbage (did not have my glasses on) but I found out in a hurry it was a HOT red pepper! I am extremely sensitive to spicy hot things. Everything else was so good. Can't wait till we can go here again. Plan on bringing company visiting us here.
Really great service and food. Go there several times a year
We stop here when we travel to/from Vermont's ski resorts. $8.95 lunch specials. Can vouch for the Shrimp w/Lobster Sauce, Moo Shu Pork and Chicken w/Spicy Garlic Sauce. Ask for extra white rice. Hot and Sour soup is very good.
I have to say thank you to the cook and staff. For good service and great food I kinda laid off of Chinese food because of the covid. I said I will give Plum Blossom a shot an they where well worth the wait.
Very pleasant wait staff, long wait but good food if you aren't on a time schedule
ALWAYS 5 STARS! The owner is very nice and always makes it a point to talk with patrons. Best squid ever!
Last time I was here was 34 years ago ! I must say everything was fantastic and the man who took me here also fantastic. Our server May is extremely fantastic. Food was fantastic , flavorful and super fantastic. Tops to all. Try the scorpion you will enjoy
Amazing Asian dinners and lunches. Beautiful dining area with lovely lighting tables and Asian Arts.w Buddhas for company :-) terrific prices and specials and all the hot tea you can drink. Wait staff very attentive. Our group the Plum Gang meets there monthly as we LUV this place ! Terrific for date nights too!
Amazing everything! Very different experience for Chinese food. Very classy, architecture is great! Highly recommend. Amazing service and very welcomed on entrance
Met with some old college buddies for lunch! Decore was amazing and everything was sparkling clean! Our waiter was very attentive continually refilling our water glasses and bringing us hot tea. Food was delicious! Highly recommend. We will be back!
The only Chinese food I'll eat in Troy... they made something so simple (sesame chicken) the absolute best I've ever tasted. The inside is beautiful. The service is amazing. Definitely recommend
We've been going to the Plum Blossom for years and both the food and service have been excellent. The problem is that although the entrance is wheelchair accessible, the rest rooms are not. For that reason, I can't give it a good rating.
Always great food, best Chinese I've ever had. Excellent atmosphere, consistent food and service. NEVER had a meal I wasn't completely satisfied with.
Clean friendly very professional and Affordable
My favorite Chinese sit down restaurant in Troy and a top 3 in the area. Super nice staff and great food make it a must visit.
I get food to go. It's always great food at reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Food is always fresh and ready when they say.
Awesome food, Great service, and I strongly recommend this place. Beautiful inside with amazing artwork. My favorite place for my birthday dinner with the family !!! Top ten oriental food in the country
Food was delicious but service was horrible. Had to walk to hostess station to refill our own water glasses. Half my meal came and after 10 minutes had to remind the waitress about the other half. Waitress disappeared for large blocks of time and couldn't locate her. In Plum Blossom's defense, place was crowded and other wait staff appeared to be really hustling. Seemed to be a problem only with this specific server
The staff are courteous and very helpful, and the service is phenomenal. The food is nothing short of astounding. I truly think I've found a new favorite restaurant and can't wait to come back again!
Good food for a nice price. Staff is efficient. Deffiantly worth stopping in.
Wonderful service. Opulent atmosphereDelictable dishes. Wish the Dim Sum was available without shrimp but the dishes are masterfully prepared, reasonably priced especially since I must always take half home (this is Egg Foo Young) and the hot mustard is better than sinus medicine lol
What a gem of a place. Beautiful handmade wood interior. Good food. Family run and owned.
Very good. Great service, John our waiter was great. Cool building
Little slow, little pricey. But, great food, great atmosphere and friendly staff.
Love the food, only take out, now. Very sad.
Plum Blossom is so much fun, beautiful interior. Food is some of the best I’ve ever had. The Lo Main was the best I’ve ever had. So enjoyed my lunch. Lunch partners experience was the same. Even the desert, Lava cake with ice cream was delicious. Will return many times in the future.
Fantastic service, huge portions and great decor. The combination menu is great value for money. Definitely worth stopping by!
Best Chinese in the Capital Region. Excellent atmosphere too!
Veggie delight with peanut sause was delicious. Ambiance is stylish. Steve Chan owner did much of of the amazing woodworking.
Tasty foodVery reasonable pricesOutstanding staff
Lovely interior. Food was fine. Better than most take out places. Service was very good.
Stopped on the way home from skiing in Okemo, just happened to drive by. The food was excellent, would come back for sure.
Me and my family have been enjoying the food and service for over 3 years until approximately 6 months ago. Since then the food and ingredients has gone severely down hill, they can't even make a decent egg drop soup anymore. Most of the staff does not even speak English sorry to say used to love the place would never recommend it now
This is not your average Chinese spot. The decor is beautiful, the quality of the food is delicious, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Whether you go for lunch or dinner, you are greeted by your sever with complimentary fried noodles and a variety of dipping sauces, along with hot tea. I try to hit the menu before 3 because the lunch menu is completely affordable for just about every budget. The dinner menu is more pricey, but totally worth it, if you want to splurge on a great dinner.
Nice looking place
While the food is good, if you order for takeout you while wait three times as 4 times as long as they told you- every time! Don’t bother talking to manager/owner, he is full of excuses and just straight up rude.
A great quiet, cute place to go for quality Chinese food. I'm a little way away from it but it's definitely worth the trip each time. The cost is maybe $2-3 more than the typical Chinese restaurant, but worth the price! They have awesome decor too! I included a photo of it below
Service was kinda slow and it didn't seem very busy, but they were very friendly and the food was amazing!! Portions were average size, a little pricey but the quality of the food was totally worth it !!
Stopped in on a whim while traveling through. We were pleasantly surprised. The decor is quite unusual , interesting and oddly attractive. It was clean and well maintained. The food did not disappoint either. Traditional well done dishes and many that stray from the usual. A definite step up from your typical Chinese takeout places.
I felt like Tom Cruise in The Last Samurai the second I walked in surrounded by beautiful hand worked wood columns and decorative molding. Or maybe that was Japan. Maybe I felt more like Chris Tucker in Rush Hour 2. Anyway.... the place looked really cool but the food left a lot to be desired. The wonton soup was average, the chicken wings sucked but that's what I get ordering them from a Chinese restaurant, and the chicken and broccoli with fried rice was good. But the entree was really small and double the price of regular Chinese takeout but not double the goodness. If you want to pay for a place to admire the walls this place is for you, but I'd stick to Ocean Palace. Half the price and better.
Very traditional Chinese food with Old World charms! Best ambience that soothes the soul and spirit! I love it !
Really nice place friendly sever good food I want to come back when they are done reminding the place.
This place is always delicious. You can't go wrong with any of their dishes. My favorites are the chicken and eggplant in garlic sauce, General Tso's chicken and the Beef Chow Fun (dry style). As for starters, the hot and sour soup and the fried squid are my favorite. I also love the ambiance and decor. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.
Amazing architecture and food is not only delicious, but well presented. Perfect portion sizes and served with a smile. Top notch, highly recommend.
Excellent service and food. Always quality. Friendly service. Long time customer 😊
I started with the miso soup and some hot tea. The soup was piping hot with scallions, mushrooms and some tofu. I’m not a huge fan of miso soup but it had a good flavor. For my entree I got the spicy tofu and mixed vegetables. It was actually spicy! Had broccoli, snow peas, mini corn, carrots, white mushrooms, bok Choy with triangles of tofu. Also served piping hot with a dome of perfectly cooked white rice. My dad wanted to order the chicken or beef satay but they were out of both, which is a little weird. So he got crab ragoons and chicken wings. My mom got sweet and sour chicken. Good sized portions. Lovely interior, plenty of parking and clean bathroom. I honestly didn’t pay attention to the prices as I was being treated, but my food was very good. Service was prompt but not intrusive.
Waited for 15 minutes in lobby (after waiting on Hoosick Street Traffic). Nobody come to seat us or greet us. Every time you go to this place you wait, sometimes the food is really good but lately it hasn’t been. Very frustrating, an entire lobby of people and nobody at the counter.
Love the food here always top notch, Needs music though, you can hear everyone's conversation.
Very ornately done interior and the hospitality is all that one should expect. The food is also on point, very timely delivered and also appropriately priced
